Our workshop was founded in a beautiful town Sigulda, Latvia, in 1997 as a small family business. Now we are known by the brand name "Wooden Frog" ["Koka Varde" in Latvian]. During last 15 years we have developed recognizable manner and quality of work. We produce wooden articles of our original design: kids' toys, souvenirs, interior and household pieces that are also available in the "Koka Varde" shop, Riga, Akas street 2.

Kids' toys are especially popular and beloved among our customers. We produce baby rattles, small wheel toys and pull along toys in forms of cute animals, also different wooden cars and, of course, educational toys: several types of games with blocks in shapes of different geometrical forms; a wooden clock for learning round-the-clock hours; a button for practicing sewing and a shoe that shows ways how to lace a boot; sets of blocks with letters and numbers for young writers and future mathematicians; letters that can be attached to each other like a puzzle thus composing any name; a domino with graphic and colourful pictures of lovely animals; a game for memorizing names and colours of animals as well as other objects that surrounds us. A wonderful plaything is our Coloured Box Set: boxes of different colours and sizes that fit into each other thus making a wonderful optical vision.
Our toys not only bring children loads of joy and laughter, but teach them to recognize and memorize different geometrical forms and colours, letters and numbers, and other essential things that introduce kids to order of things in our exciting world. No doubt, "Wooden Frog" games develop child’s logical thinking, concentration skill and speaking abilities. Pleasant to touch, wooden toys also train musculature of little fingers.

Every year, since 2009, we also participate in the respectable Nürnberg Toy Fair, Germany, where our toys have gained very good response and long-term clients.

Our belief is to live and work as a friend of nature. Therefore main material for all of our ''Wooden Frog'' products is natural wood: ash, oak, alder, maple (country of origin - Latvia). Most often we use ash tree because of its quality and beautiful pattern. For non wooden parts of our toys we use non toxic leather, cotton and linen strings. Coating colours consist of renewable and fully bio-degradable natural binder raw materials which have not been modified chemically. Their composition correspond to all requirements of the European product safety, European Standard EN 71-3 and 71-9 and the European directive 2009/48/EC (European Toy safety directive). Also linseed oil and food oil we use for uncoloured parts of the toys are produced from environmentally friendly materials. This means that child can explore toy safely and parents don’t have to worry if a little one decides to "taste" it.

"Wooden Frog" has also gained respectable experience in producing individual orders. We make house names, wedding attributes, original souvenirs, presentation and advertising objects, etc.; however, this is only the minor part of what we can do with the options available at our workshop. It is essential for you to have an approximate idea and wish, and we will take care of the rest! We guarantee high quality, individual attitude and original solutions.

Workshop is equipped with up-to-date facilities that make possible performing our work on high professional level, in large volumes and in good time. Our techniques and know-how are perfectly developed during our long work experience. For example, we have acquired lazerprint and cutting equipment that gives us new possibilities for individual productions. Titles, logos, photos (similar to engravings) both on flat and round surfaces – all this is available here!
